La cantinetta di Barun is a combined enoteca and wine focusing on artisanal wines from small producers.
We believe that wine brings people together and creates a unique sensory experience. Come taste our carefully selected wines at La cantinetta di Barun or take a bottle home. We want to be a hub for passionate wine enthusiasts.
At La cantinetta, we serve almost all our wines by the glass, which gives you the opportunity to taste rare and expensive wines at a fair price.
Being located in Langhe, our focus is on the wines from Langhe. E.g. we have more than 100 different Barbaresco and Barolo producers to show you.
You will also find one of the largest Champagne selections in Piemonte with approximately 100 different labels, and many sought wines from other wine regions.

I've lived half my life abroad, but moved to Langhe in 2007 to pursue my passion for Italy and wine. I own a small winery called "Ca'Barun" in Santo Stefano Belbo. In 2021, I opened La cantinetta di Barun, which should be an enjoyable place for carefully selected artisanal wines from smaller producers. The service and peoples experiences are important to me and consequently also for La cantinetta. Looking forward to welcoming you to our place.

I've worked at La cantinetta di Barun since the beginning. In 2021, I hold a my Master's in Wine Culture and Communication from the University of Pollenzo. During my studies, I attended some amazing masterclasses and fell in love with wine's unique features and cultural significance. I moved to Langhe in 2020, where my favorite wine, Nebbiolo, is produced. For me, good wine is genuine, unique, and expresses vivid energy through minerality and the character of the grapes.

Inside
Our enoteca, a warm and welcoming haven, boasts a cozy and intimate atmosphere matched by unique and stunning decor. The pavement underfoot was crafted from original Italian "cementine" tiles, historically reserved for the embellishment of the most exquisite churches and country estates.
Outdoor
Unwind and bask in the picturesque charm of Neive's main Piazza, enveloped by traditional "botti" barrels, as you savor a perfectly poured glass of Italian wine in our delightful outdoor space.
The crutin
Our shop has all the wines on display, but the rare ones are stored in our special "crutin" cellar. We offer a variety of Langhe wines and exciting foreign options, with a focus on Champagne, a dynamic and unique place for artisanal wine production.

No spritz
Our punch line is “No spritz. Only good Wine!”. We are located in one of the best winemaking areas of the world with some of the world’s most sought wines. We have a selection of high-quality wines which need to be properly communicated. Living in a land of high-quality product we want to offer a quality service - and since this very common and popular Italian cocktail is the opposite of authenticity and genuineness you cannot find it in our shop!
